In your charity, please consider helping the family of Christian Melnick, who passed away after a long battle with cancer, leaving behind a wife and nine children. He was the sole provider for his family. Though the GoFundMe page reflects the already generous donations, we all know that in this day and age, that amount in funds can go in only a few months, especially with a large family. Please be generous to his widow and children both financially and with your prayers.

From the GoFundMe page, which has not been updated to reflect his abrupt passing on June 19th:

Quote:Hello Friends and Family.

As many of you know, Christian Melnick is continuing to fight his battle against cancer. He has been out of work for the last few months, as he has been focusing on treatment and healing. Christian still has multiple tumors in his neck and shoulder area that are causing him much pain, affecting the use of his left arm, and placing limitations on his activity. On top of this, he has had to deal with infections in his mouth and nasal cavities that have delayed the more aggressive treatment he so much needs. Although he still has a long road ahead of him and his condition is still debilitated, he has been asked to go back to work or lose his job.

Christian and Irene are the parents of 9 beautiful children. As many of us parents know, it is a difficult world we live in for raising children, both culturally and economically. Thus far, they have been able to home school and provide for their family without accumulating debt or receiving assistance of any kind. That is remarkable. Unfortunately, since Christian has been out of work, they have for the first time in their marriage had to do so now.

In order to help alleviate this burden, we are trying to raise funds to assist him to pay off this debt, cover medical bills and daily living expenses, so he can take the time to focus on treatment and rest that are so crucial to beat his illness.

"So let us be confident, let us not be unprepared, let us not be outflanked, let us be wise, vigilant, fighting against those who are trying to tear the faith out of our souls and morality out of our hearts, so that we may remain Catholics, remain united to the Blessed Virgin Mary, remain united to the Roman Catholic Church, remain faithful children of the Church."- Abp. Lefebvre
