Rediscovering Archbishop Lefebvre’s Intolerance for Error Before There’s No Tolerance for Truth

Robert Morrison | April 22, 2022
Quote:“Nothing is done in the world that does not relate to our Lord; it is either for Him or against Him, with Him or without Him. Our Lord is the key to the solution of all the problems. There are none here below that are indifferent to our Lord. Men try in vain to work without reference to our Lord, but it is impossible because our Lord is everywhere. He created everything; therefore everything is in His hands. Everything belongs to Him, nothing is outside of Him. Men seek to evade Him, but they cannot because everything is His.”
With these words taken from his seminary conferences from the late 1970s (compiled in The Mystery of Jesus), Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre gave Catholics a simple and reliable way to evaluate the problems facing the Church and world. Indeed, we can see that the greatest problems in the Church and world today have resulted from the the guardians of these truths having discarded them, treating them as vestiges of a medieval world which no longer has relevance to our own.
We do not need to be theologians to understand the immense practical importance of the fact that our Lord Jesus Christ is God:
Quote:“To meditate upon the mystery of our Lord Jesus Christ and make it the object of our reflections may seem a little abstract and theoretical. And yet, upon closer examination, it is altogether pertinent and practical. . . For what is in jeopardy in the world in which we live is faith in the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. If our Lord is God, He is consequently the Master of all things, the elements, individuals, families and society. He is the Creator and the end of all things.”
If Jesus is not God, then of course the Catholic Faith is nonsense and unworthy of belief. But if He is God, then this fact must be the starting point and constant guide for all else. If He is God, then “He is consequently the Master of all things, the elements, individuals, families and society.”
As guardian of the truths entrusted to it by Christ, the Church has always understood the mission our Lord gave it, even though it appears that the modernists occupying Rome have never heard of the mission:
“Going therefore, teach ye all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).
The concept is simple: God wants the Church to spread the truths which all people need to save their souls; thus the Church has the responsibility to teach souls that they must “observe all things whatsoever” Christ commanded. Many of the Church’s greatest saints have dedicated their lives to bringing these truths to people who were not initially inclined to welcome them. Others have given their lives to defend these truths. All have lived by them.
As a matter of common sense and historical fact, an essential component of the Church’s mission of faithfully transmitting the truths entrusted to it by Christ is combatting the errors opposed to the Faith. Because Jesus Christ is Truth, His Church cannot reconcile itself with errors that oppose truth. However, as Archbishop Lefebvre knew so well, Vatican II attempted to convince the world that the Church had made peace with errors opposed to Catholic truth:
Quote:“Because of religious liberty, which was affirmed in the texts of the Second Vatican Council and which is entirely opposed to the social reign of our Lord Jesus Christ because it places all religions on a par and accords to error the same rights as truth has, our Lord is no longer considered to be the one Truth and source of Truth.”
The progressives insisted that the Church could no longer be intolerant of error because such a position was inconsistent both with “human dignity” and the efforts to reunite all Christians through ecumenical outreach. Fr. Dominique Bourmaud wrote of the Vatican II battle on this issue in his One Hundred Years of Modernism:
Quote:“Religious liberty, treated in the Declaration Dignitatis Humanae, was the object of heated debate even before the opening of the Council. Cardinal Ottaviani, bulldog of the Faith, defended the freedom of the Catholic religion, which in certain circumstances may lead to the toleration of error. Cardinal Bea, on the contrary, spoke of the freedom of religions and granted freedom in principle to all faiths, as exercised in public as well as in private. Such a theory amounted to granting rights to error and vice, according to the American dream of Fr. John Courtney Murray, condemned by the Holy Office prior to his victory at the Council.”
As Fr. Bourmaud observed, the future John Paul II fought in favor of granting rights to anti-Catholic error:
Quote:“The absurd character of such a ‘right' is flagrant in the intervention of Archbishop Wojtyla: ‘It is necessary to accept the danger of error. One cannot embrace the truth without having a certain experience of error. It is therefore necessary to speak of the right to seek error and to err. I call out for liberty for the conquest of the truth.’”
It is stunning that progressives such as the future John Paul II were able to make such ludicrous statements at the Council with a straight face. And yet they did, and now the world (erroneously) thinks the Church accepts “the danger of error.” Even worse, because John Paul II believed that souls needed to have “a certain experience of error,” millions of Catholics have had a “certain experience” of losing their Faith; God knows how many of the false shepherd’s sheep now have a “certain experience" of hell.
Simply surveying the errors that proliferated throughout the Church since Vatican II, we can identify great harms that have resulted from “granting rights” to error:
- Many Catholics now believe the errors that the pre-Vatican II popes vigorously opposed.
- Accordingly, many Catholics believe that truth can change to become something that contradicts what it once was.
- Many others have concluded that any institution that teaches such nonsense must not be a truth-teller and they have therefore left the Church.
- Throughout the world, this state of contradiction has seriously impaired the Church’s moral authority and ability to fulfill its God-given mission.
- And now we find ourselves in a situation in which the Church apparently supports the anti-Catholic errors of the Great Reset.
In reality, the actual Church can never teach these errors, but thanks to men like John Paul II most people in the world now think otherwise.
Given such a grave situation, it is worth recalling Archbishop Lefebvre’s healthy intolerance for error:
Quote:“Make no mistake. It is completely erroneous to think that if someone thinks otherwise than I do, if he has another religion than mine, he is free to do so. No, he is not free, and we must tell him, however sorry we may be, that he is wrong, that he is not in possession of the truth. One day you will be judged on your thoughts, your behavior, and your attitude: you had better convert. And this holds, not only for ideas, but also for morals, for everything.”
Francis and his collaborators would presumably blast this attitude as hateful and destructive but the archbishop’s intolerance for error was the logical consequence of his great love for God and souls. As Archbishop Lefebvre saw it, we should tolerate error that cannot be changed, but we must always do all we can to spread the unadulterated truth, which honors God and saves souls:
“Yes, we seem to be intolerant! Let’s be clear: We tolerate error that cannot be suppressed, but truth cannot tolerate error. By its very nature, the truth casts out error as the light dispels darkness. We cannot help it. Truth does not tolerate error; good does not tolerate vice. This does not mean, in practice, that one does not tolerate what is impossible to change, or what cannot be converted. But we should strive to bring an end to darkness, and to eliminate vice and error. And this is done by converting people by the grace of God.”
Despite the lies of the progressives, the notion that “error has no rights” never meant that the Catholic Church (as distinct from individual Catholics) taught that “people who are in error” have no rights — at most it led to the practical step of forbidding the public profession of anti-Catholic errors in Catholic societies. This is simply a logical extension of the idea that we must do all we can to promote the salvific truths of the Faith without which souls will be condemned. Those who are ultimately damned will have little gratitude for those who encouraged them to persist in their anti-Catholic errors.
Moreover, the failure of individuals and societies to acknowledge a particular truth does not render such truth any less true or important. Those who wish to “liberate themselves” from truth and its implications will face consequences that grow more dire in proportion to the importance of the truth in question; and no truths can be more important than those relating to our Lord and what He expects of us:
Quote:“This idea of liberty — which is really licentiousness and not true liberty — which is to be given to all the ideologies results in slow self-destruction and in the corruption of truth. And this truth is in fact our Lord Jesus Christ. Either one acknowledges it or not. If one refuses to acknowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Truth, by the very fact there is no more law and no more morality. Everything gives way little by little. Of course, it takes time. Christian civilization cannot be destroyed in the course of just a few years. But once the principle of liberty is granted, then slowly but surely the corruption advances.”
One might have argued against Archbishop Lefebvre’s prognosis a few decades ago but it is now painfully obvious that he was correct. We see this collapse today, both within the Church and throughout society.
Perhaps worst of all, it is now apparent that we quickly approach a point at which error will have such sway over society that truth will not be tolerated. Is this not what we see in the Church when Francis rails against rigid Catholics?
Even the preparatory document for Francis’s Synod on Synodality explicitly rejects those Catholics who promote “religious rigor” and “moral injunction.” Tragically, the spirit of the Synod is one that Archbishop Lefebvre recognized in Protestants, although the promoters of the Synod have even less respect for actual Catholics:
Quote:“For the Protestants, liberty is first: everyone does and thinks what he likes. Having fought against the Catholics and having tried to suppress Catholicism, they know very well that Catholics hold that they possess the truth. Jesus Christ whom we possess in the Catholic Church is the Truth. There is no other. This is what the Protestants cannot bear, knowing quite well that that is indeed what Catholics believe. . . [T]hey are afraid, for they know that we are intolerant. ‘You are intolerant,’ they accuse us.”
This liberty of thought now espoused by Francis and his collaborators is of course anti-Catholic and therefore repugnant to God, so who benefits from it? It is mere coincidence that Francis’s Synod on Synodality offends God but pleases Satan and the globalists?
While we still have time, we must reclaim the Catholic fidelity to truth that excludes the acceptance of error. It is not enough to beg the “Catholic” modernists in Rome to grant truth just a little more rights, or to allow God’s Church to have just a little more prominence than the false religions. No, as Archbishop Lefebvre wrote, we must insist on the reign of Christ the King in our own lives, in the Church, and, insofar as possible, throughout society:
Quote:“The only remedy is to reflect, meditate, and be convinced of the necessity of the social reign of our Lord Jesus Christ, of His reign over us not only as persons, but also in society[emphasis - The Catacombs]. Be assured that if you tell yourself that you want to live according to the law and the morality that our Lord taught us, and by His grace, love and sacraments, but that out in the world you must accept the freedom of morals and free-thinking, then sooner or later you will be contaminated. The mere fact of conceding that it is a human right to be able to think whatever you like, as is done in the declaration on religious liberty, leads to the abandonment of the missionary spirit.”
Ultimately God’s truth will triumph over the errors we see today, but we need to seriously consider that He may not intervene to spare us the hellish consequences of our failure to reject the errors opposed to His reign. Now is the time to rediscover Archbishop Lefebvre’s intolerance for error before there is no tolerance for truth, or for those who love it. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, destroyer of all heresies, help us resist all those who seek to attack our immutable Catholic Faith!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in praelio![/b]

Swiss Catholic priests refuse to sign new diocesan code of conduct, claim it contains ‘LGBT ideology’
In the new code of conduct, priests must agree to ‘refrain from sweeping negative assessments of allegedly unbiblical behavior based on sexual orientation.’

Chur, Switzerland's Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption with surrounding alpine mountains
Fri Apr 29, 2022
UPDATE April 29, 2022, 4:39 p.m. Eastern: This article previously incorrectly reported that Fathers Imhof and Graf published their letter anonymously. They did not; the article has been updated to reflect that.
CHUR, Switzerland (LifeSiteNews) — A group of Swiss diocesan priests have said they will not sign a new code of conduct imposed by their bishop, claiming the code is an attempt “to implant LGBT ideology in the Church under the guise of preventing sexual assault.”
The priests, Father Franz Imhof and Father Roland Graf, published a statement yesterday in reaction to the new Code of Conduct issued by their diocese, which they say “violates the doctrine and discipline of the Catholic Church.”
Bishop Joseph Bonnemain of the Diocese of Chur, Switzerland, signed the code on April 5, and issued a letter to all priests and employees of his diocese saying that the new code would be “binding for all leaders and employees of the diocese from mid-2022 onwards.”
The priests began their statement by acknowledging that “95% of what is contained in the code of conduct regarding prevention, we consider to be mere common sense and decency.”
“Nonetheless, the bishop should have never signed this document,” the priests added.
While acknowledging that it is “absolutely necessary to do everything possible to ensure better prevention [of sexual assault],” the priests cited several passages of the code which according to them, would “muzzle the doctrine of faith and morality.”
In one of these passages, priests must agree to “refrain from sweeping negative assessments of allegedly unbiblical behavior based on sexual orientation.”
The priests noted that this would prevent them from “proclaim[ing] the Church’s teaching on homosexuality as stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC).”
The CCC teaches that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,” “contrary to the natural law,” and can be approved “under no circumstances.”
Priests who commit themselves to the new code would also have to agree “not to actively take up topics related to sexuality, and to refrain from offensive questioning about intimate life and relationship status,” when engaging in pastoral conversations.
“This also applies to conversations I have as a supervisor,” the code adds.
According to the priests who issued their statement against the new code, this would prevent priests from asking the necessary questions for marriage preparation, which are there to ensure, among other things, that the future spouses agree with the Church’s teaching that marriage is a “sacramental community of life and love between a man and a woman.”
They also noted that if the head of a seminary or a diocesan bishop were to sign the new code of conduct, they would no longer be able to comply with the provision Ratio fundamentalis institutionis sacerdotalis approved and ratified by Pope Francis on December 8, 2016 which states “that persons who practice homosexuality, have deep-seated homosexual tendencies, or who support so-called ‘homosexual culture’” may not be admitted in the seminary.
In addition, “how could one still credibly require a candidate for the priesthood to commit himself ‘in the prescribed rite publicly before God and the Church’ to lifelong celibacy (canon 1037) if at the same time it is declared that his ‘relationship status’ is in fact taboo for Church leadership?” asked the priests rhetorically.
The priests also pointed out that, if priests or deacons living in immoral situations “may no longer be held accountable, or dismissed from Church ministry,” this would create a “double standard,” as the Church would continue to preach what it no longer demands of its priests and laity.
The priests ended their statement by criticizing another passage of the new code which states: “I refrain from any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity [and] I recognize sexual rights as human rights, especially the right to sexual self-determination.”
According to them, this passage would mean that heads of seminaries would again no longer be able to prevent people with homosexual tendencies or who practice homosexuality from entering the seminary.
“In the same way, the refusal to ‘bless’ a same-sex couple would no longer be possible,” the priests added.
They quoted a February 22, 2021, declaration from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) which stated that “it is not permitted to give a blessing to relationships or stable partnerships that involve a sexual practice outside of marriage (that is, outside an indissoluble union of a man and a woman open in itself to the transmission of life), as is the case with unions of persons of the same sex.”
The priests explained that applying such principles has nothing to do with discrimination but rather with “upholding the perennial teachings of the Church.”
“For the time being, we declare by our signature on the present declaration that we, for reasons of conscience, will not sign the code of conduct of the Diocese of Chur,” the priests concluded.

Macron launches digital ID in France after re-election, raises fears of social credit system
Participation is optional, but some citizens believe it could lead to China-style surveillance and societal control.
Fri Apr 29, 2022
PARIS (LifeSiteNews) — Less than a week after French President Emmanuel Macron was re-elected, he is already facing backlash after launching a digital ID for citizens.
Macron signed the “Digital Identity Guarantee Service” (SGIN) into a decree on April 26, less than 48 hours after his victory over nationalist Marine Le Pen in the French presidential election.
The SGIN is a project by the French government to create a mobile app that will allow French citizens to access their ID digitally.
The project aims at making France “compliant” with the European Union Commission’s European Digital Identity package.
Though the text of the decree specifies that the use of digital ID “is completely left to the free choice of users,” some politicians see it as a tool to usher in a Chinese-like social credit system in France.
Florian Philippot, founder of French nationalist party “Les Patriotes” (The Patriots), took to Twitter to denounce the new legislation.
“Immediately after the election, the government announced the launch of a ‘digital identification app’! The goal: to introduce a Chinese-like social credit system. A society of control and surveillance,” he tweeted.
“Let’s totally reject this application and fight by any means!”
Other Twitter users echoed his sentiments.
One of them, The Q2 Observer, pointed out that “what is optional and trivial at the beginning will be essential and cumbersome in the long term.”
“In France for the moment, soon the same everywhere … Resist!” he added.
Concerns that digital tools such as the SGIN will be used by western governments to introduce a social credit system through the backdoor have also been expressed in other EU countries, including Italy, where a newly released app, the “Smart Citizen Wallet,” will be launched in Bologna this fall and will reward some citizens for “virtuous behavior” using a point system.
The re-election of Macron last Sunday triggered massive protests throughout France, and during his first official post re-election visit, he was pelted with tomatoes in the town of Cergy near Paris.
Voters are expected at the polls again for parliamentary elections in June, when Macron’s party could lose its majority to Le Pen.

Requiem aeternam dona ei Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
In your charity, please pray for the soul of " Bishop" Daniel Dolan who passed away on April 26th. He was ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1976 but was later expelled as one of the Nine in 1983 because of their sedevacantist position. He was consecrated a "bishop" in 1993 by "Bishop" Mark Pivarunas of the Thuc line.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

The De Profundis - Psalm 129
Out of the depths I have cried unto Thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
If Thou, O Lord, shalt mark our iniquities: O Lord, who can abide it?
For with Thee there is mercy: and by reason of Thy law I have waited on Thee, O Lord.
My soul hath waited on His word: my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning watch even unto night: let Israel hope in the Lord.
For with the Lord there is mercy: and with Him is plenteous redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord And let perpetual light shine upon him.

Rockefeller Foundation president predicts ‘massive’ global food crisis, calls on US to find solutions
The president of the Rockefeller Foundation is calling for what could amount to heavy investments from the U.S. to alleviate a food crisis triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Wed Apr 27, 2022
(LifeSiteNews) — Rockefeller Foundation president Rajiv Shah is calling for the United States to take the lead in tackling a “massive, immediate food crisis” affecting many developing countries.
After describing what is “already a crisis” of poverty in developing countries, Shah pointed to the disruptive effect of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, noting the importance of the latter’s role as a wheat supplier in his Bloomberg Television interview with David Westin. For example, the United Nations World Food Program “buys 40% of its wheat” from Ukraine, according to Shah.
On top of that, Shah said, is the “fertilizer crisis, where you have farmers all over Africa no longer using fertilizer because it’s not available,” adding that “20% of it effectively came from Russia.”
Shah predicted that this fertilizer shortage “is going to lead to an even bigger food crisis this summer and this fall.”
Westin, along with Bloomberg’s Mike Morning, also pointed out in a subsequent article that the war “has put at risk exports of wheat, corn, sunflower oil and other foods from Russia and Ukraine that account for more than 10% of all calories traded globally, driving up food prices in low-income countries that are already reeling from pandemic damage to their economies.”
While Shah believes that there is a “global responsibility” to tackle the food crisis that requires “concerted leadership,” he believes the United States should lead the effort as the “unquestioned leader on food and hunger around the world” since World War II.
“I very much hope that emergency actions can be taken in a bipartisan manner that reestablishes American leadership to tackle this problem,” Shah told Westin.
Shah called for the full funding of the World Food Program, the pre-positioning of food in places where hunger is expected, and “emergency debt relief action” for heavily indebted developing countries, so that they can “use that money to actually buy food” for their people.
On March 24, The Rockefeller Foundation announced the launch of its new “Good Food Strategy,” in which it will invest $105 million to “support a shift in public and private spending toward foods that are nutritious, regenerate the environment, and create equitable economic opportunity” across the globe. Commenting on the need for the program, Shah cited Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as contributing to a “global humanitarian crisis” of food.
The initiative is to include investments in metrics that measure the environmental “footprint” of food production, and will also shift the “menu” of large institution towards foods that “benefit people and the planet.”
If an article co-written by the Rockefeller Foundation’s Food Initiative managing director Sara Farley is any indication, the foundation is aiming for, among other goals, reduced meat consumption.
In the piece published on the World Economic Forum website, she and Sara Scherr cite a report by the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems (IPES-FOOD) that not only refers to the meat sector as “high-emitting,” (in other words, contributing disproportionately to climate change), but groups meat with sugar and salt as contributing to “negative health effects.”
The Rockefeller Foundation has already laid out its program for food reform in the U.S., which entails similar objectives, in a report called “Reset the Table: Meeting the Movement to Transform the U.S. Food System.”

The Psychology of Manipulation: 6 Lessons from the Master of Propaganda
![[Image: propaganda-1-1920x900-1-1024x480.jpg]](https://www.theburningplatform.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/propaganda-1-1920x900-1-1024x480.jpg)
BP [Guest Post by Ryan Matters] | April 27, 2022
Edward L. Bernays was an American business consultant who is widely recognized as the father of public relations. Bernays was one of the men responsible for “selling” World War 1 to the American public by branding it as a war that was necessary to “make the world safe for democracy”.
During the 1920s, Bernays consulted for a number of major corporations, helping to boost their business through expertly crafted marketing campaigns aimed at influencing public opinion.
In 1928, Edward Bernays published his famous book, Propaganda, in which he outlined the theories behind his successful “public relations” endeavours. The book provides insights into the phenomenon of crowd psychology and outlines effective methods for manipulating people’s habits and opinions.
For a book that’s almost 100 years old, Propaganda could not be more relevant today. In fact, its relevance is a testament to the unchanging nature of human psychology.
One of the key takeaways of the book is that mind control is an important aspect of any democratic society. Indeed, Bernays maintains that without the “conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses”, democracy simply would not “work”.
Quote:We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society.
According to Bernays, those doing the “governing” constitute an invisible ruling class that “understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses”.
In Propaganda, Bernays draws on the work of Gustave Le Bon, Wilfred Trotter, Walter Lippmann, and Sigmund Freud (his uncle!), outlining the power of mass psychology and how it may be used to manipulate the “group mind”.
Quote:If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it?
I recently explored this topic in an essay about how occult rituals and predictive programming are used to manipulate the collective consciousness, influencing the thoughts, beliefs and actions of large groups of people, resulting in the creation of what occultists call “egregores”.
Here I have extracted some key insights from Bernays in an attempt to show how his book Propaganda is, in many ways, the playbook used by the globalist cryptocracy to process the group mind of the masses.
1. IF YOU MANIPULATE THE LEADER OF A GROUP, THE PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW
Bernays tells us that one of the easiest ways to influence the thoughts and actions of large numbers of people is to first influence their leader.
Quote:If you can influence the leaders, either with or without their conscious cooperation, you automatically influence the group which they sway.
In fact, one of the most firmly established principles of mass psychology is that the “group mind” does not “think”, rather, it acts according to impulses, habits and emotions. And when deciding on a certain course of action, its first impulse is to follow the example of a trusted leader.
Humans are, by nature a group species. Even when we are alone, we have a deep sense of group belonging. Whether they consciously know it or not, much of what people do is an effort to conform to the ideals of their chosen group so as to feel a sense of acceptance and belonging.
This exact method of influencing the leader and watching the people follow has been used extensively throughout the last few years. One notable instance that comes to mind is the horrendously inaccurate epidemiological models created by Neil Ferguson, which formed the basis for President Boris Johnson’s lockdown policies.
Once Johnson was convinced of the need to lockdown and mask up, the people gladly followed.
2. WORDS ARE POWERFUL: THE KEY TO INFLUENCING A GROUP IS THE CLEVER USE OF LANGUAGE
Certain words and phrases are associated with certain emotions, symbols and reactions. Bernays tell us that through the clever and careful use of language, one can manipulate the emotions of a group and thereby influence their perceptions and actions.
Quote:By playing upon an old cliché, or manipulating a new one, the propagandist can sometimes swing a whole mass of group emotions.
The clever use of language has been employed throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to great effect. An obvious example of this was when the definition of “vaccine” was changed to include injections utilising experimental mRNA technology.
You see, the word “vaccine” is associated in the public mind with a certain picture – that of a safe, proven medical intervention that is not only life-saving but absolutely necessary.
If governments had told people to go get their “gene therapies”, the vast majority of the public would likely question the motives behind such a campaign; they would feel extremely sceptical because the phrase “gene therapy” is not associated with the same images, emotions and feelings as “vaccine”.
The same goes for the word “pandemic”, the definition of which was also changed. The word “pandemic” is generally associated in the collective consciousness with fear, death, chaos and emergency (largely thanks to Hollywood and the myriad virus films it has released over the years).
3. ANY MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION IS ALSO A MEDIUM FOR PROPAGANDA
Any system of communication, whether phone, radio, print, or social media, is nothing more than a means of transmitting information. Bernays reminds us that any such means of communication is also a channel for propaganda.
Quote:There is no means of human communication which may not also be a means of deliberate propaganda.
Bernays goes on to stress that a good propagandist must always keep abreast of new forms of communication, so that they may co-opt them as means of deliberate propaganda.
Indeed, systems that most people would associate with freedom of speech and democracy are none other than means of circulating propaganda. Facebook fact-checkers, Big Tech censorship and YouTube’s Covid banners certainly fall into this category.
Other examples of this include the recent algorithm updates made by various search engines (including Google and DuckDuckGo) to penalize Russian websites. Although this should come as no surprise (Google has been engaging in this type of “shadow propaganda” for many years).
4. REITERATING THE SAME IDEA OVER AND OVER CREATES HABITS AND CONVICTIONS
Although Bernays terms this a technique used by the “old propagandists”, he, nonetheless, recognizes its usefulness.
Quote:It was one of the doctrines of the reaction psychology that a certain stimulus often repeated would create a habit, or that the mere reiteration of an idea would create a conviction.
Repeating the same idea or the same “mantra” again and again is a form of neuro-linguistic programming aimed at instilling certain concepts or emotions into the subconscious mind. Indeed, people who are feeling sad or depressed are often advised to repeat to themselves an uplifting saying or affirmation.
There are many examples of this simple, yet effective, technique being used to great effect over the last few years. Think Q’s “trust the plan”, the globalist favourite, “build back better” or the incessant repetition of that twisted phrase, “trust the science”. Included in this category are the 24/7-in-your-face death statistics and case numbers, aimed at promoting the illusion of a pandemic.
There are more obvious examples of this as well, such as news anchors in different areas all reading from the exact same script.
5. THINGS ARE NOT DESIRED FOR THEIR INTRINSIC WORTH, BUT RATHER FOR THE SYMBOLS THAT THEY REPRESENT
After studying why people make certain purchasing decisions, Bernays observed that people often don’t desire something for its usefulness or value, but rather because it represents something else which they unconsciously crave.
Quote:A thing may be desired not for its intrinsic worth or usefulness, but because he has unconsciously come to see in it a symbol of something else, the desire for which he is ashamed to admit to himself.
Bernays gives the example of a man buying a car. From the outside, it may appear as if the man is buying the car because he needs a means of transport, but in actuality, he is buying it because he craves the elevated social status that comes with owning a motor vehicle.
This idea, too, applies to the events over the last few years.
For example, masks are a symbol of compliance. Everyone knows they don’t work but they wear them because of their desire to “fit in”, and to be seen as an upstanding citizen who follows the rules. Covid-19 injections are also a symbol and many people choose to get them because they have a desire to avoid being called an “anti-vaxxer” or a “conspiracy theorist”.
6. ONE CAN MANIPULATE INDIVIDUAL ACTIONS BY CREATING CIRCUMSTANCES THAT MODIFY GROUP CUSTOMS
Lastly, Bernays tells us that if one wishes to manipulate the actions of an individual, the most effective way to do so is to create circumstances that engender the desired behaviour.
Quote:What are the true reasons why the purchaser is planning to spend his money on a new car instead of on a new piano? […] He buys a car, because it is at the moment the group custom to buy cars. The modern propagandist therefore sets to work to create circumstances which will modify that custom.
For example, why all of a sudden does everyone “stand with Ukraine”? According to Bernays, it’s not because there is a war going on and innocent people need our love and support, but rather because it is the new “group custom” to do so.
The process of altering group customs begins from the top down. In every nation or social clique, there are leaders, public figures and influencers. Manipulating those with the most sway eventually filters down into the public mind. That is why when a celebrity decides to wear something extravagant on the red carpet, a whole new trend can arise overnight.
Similarly, at the beginning of the Covid saga and then the Russia-Ukraine war, the media were quick to circulate stories of celebs “catching Covid” and urging people to stay home, or public figures condemning Russian actions and calling for stricter sanctions (which just so happened to hurt the West more than they hurt Russia).
THE PROPAGANDA PLAYBOOK
The world is a volatile place right now. Things seem to change quickly and no one knows what might happen next. However, amid all this chaos there is one thing that has not changed and is unlikely to change any time soon, and that is human psychology.
Because of this, the tactics used to manipulate people’s thoughts, beliefs and actions have not changed either. In fact, most of them were outlined in detail 100 years ago by Edward Bernays in his 1928 book, Propaganda.
That’s right, the Puppet Master’s playbook isn’t a secret. It’s right there, freely available to anyone who cares to understand how the powers that be seek to influence them on a daily basis.

Pope insists traditionalist FSSP priest must concelebrate new rite Chrism Mass: French archbishop
Since the publication of Pope Francis’ unfamous motu proprio in July of last year, much confusion still remains as to how the decree applies.

Pope Francis concelebrating Mass with many others in Mexico
Tue Apr 26, 2022
REIMS, France (LifeSiteNews) — A French archbishop reported that Pope Francis wants priests devoted to the Traditional Latin Mass to concelebrate the new rite at least once a year.
According to an article published in French magazine Famille Chrétienne last Thursday, Pope Francis received the leadership of the French Bishops’ Conference in Rome just a few weeks after their Spring Plenary Assembly in Lourdes.
On this occasion, the topic of the controversial motu proprio Traditiones Custodes, with which the Pontiff imposed severe restrictions on the celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), was brought to the table so that Pope Francis could clarify certain points.
According to bishops at the meeting, the Pope began by recalling “emphatically” that the decree of February 11, according to which priests of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) are not affected by the restrictions of the motu proprio and may continue to celebrate Mass according to the Roman Missal of 1962, came from him.
Immediately afterward, however, Pope Francis emphasized the second paragraph of this decree, which states that FSSP priests “may use this faculty in their own churches or oratories” only, and that, otherwise, the 1962 missal “may only be used with the consent of the Ordinary of the place, except for the celebration of private Masses.”
According to Monsignor de Moulins-Beaufort, the Archbishop of Reims and head of the French Bishops’ Conference, Francis also insisted that all priests, regardless of their affiliation, must concelebrate at the annual Chrism Mass.
“He was very insistent that priests concelebrate at least the Chrism Mass,” De Moulins-Beaufort said.
The Chrism Mass takes place during Holy Week and is an occasion for the priests of a diocese to renew their promises to their local bishop and to manifest the unity of the Catholic Church.
From this, it appears that Pope Francis sees participation to the Chrism Mass as an obligation for priests, an idea that seems to clash with Canon 902 of the Code of Canon Law, as was pointed out in an article by German Catholic news outlet Katholisches.info.
Canon 902 states that every priest always retains the right to exercise his freedom to celebrate the Eucharist individually.
“Unless the benefit of Christ’s faithful requires or suggests otherwise, priests may concelebrate the Eucharist; they are, however, fully entitled to celebrate the Eucharist individually, but not while a celebration is taking place in the same church or oratory,” it states.
The Pope’s alleged insistence on concelebration at the Chrism Mass during his meeting with the French bishops appears to validate the actions of the now-Emeritus Archbishop Roland Minnerath of Dijon, who unceremoniously evicted the FSSP from his diocese last year, arguing that some of its priests refused to concelebrate at the Chrism Mass.
Since the publication of the motu proprio Traditiones Custodes last July, a great deal of confusion still remains as to how the decree applies. Its interpretation and application often depend upon the personal disposition of a given local bishop toward the TLM.
In the Diocese of Rome, for instance, the two decrees now in place contradict each other.
On Oct. 7, 2021, Cardinal Vicar Angelo De Donatis issued a decree banning the faithful from attending the Easter Triduum in the traditional rite in the personal parish of the Fraternity of St. Peter. This seems to contradict Pope Francis’ own decree of February 11 exempting the FSSP from restrictions.
This year, the FSSP in Rome interpreted the Pope’s decree as superior and celebrated the Easter Triduum according to the old rite at the church of Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini, Katholishes.info reported.
Another point that remains to be clarified is the fate of other Ecclesia Dei communities such as the Institute of Christ the King and the Institute of the Good Shepherd. So far, Pope Francis has given no indication that he intends to extend his February 11 exemption to these communities.
These communities were not discussed at the meeting between Francis and the French bishops.
According to Famille Chrétienne, neither was mention made of the Via Romana, an initiative undertaken by mothers of priests who celebrate the TLM and who have been walking from Paris to Rome for weeks now to present Pope Francis with letters from the faithful, asking him to reconsider his motu proprio.

Amen.
The Virgin Mother of Good Counsel
by Monsignor George F. Dillon, D.D., 1884
There is a very special reason, why, under the title of Our Lady of Good Counsel, the Mother of God should be now worshipped; for under that title She meets a special need. That need is the want of Good Counsel in the world. The devotion is, as the devotion to Jesus Christ in His Sacred Heart, and as the devotion to St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, a devotion reserved for the wants of the faithful in the dangerous days coming towards the end of time. Devotion to Our Lady of Good Counsel is needed in like manner: for if it be true that to Her alone is reserved the power of crushing all heresies throughout the whole world and in all time, never was it more necessary to manifest that great power than in these days when all the streams of past error and malice unite with newer streams more deadly and wide-spread, to form a vast deluge of falsehood and error, meant by its author and his agents to wash out Christianity from the minds of men. It is the cunning of the infernal serpent, which has planned all this and made it universal. It is his power and sleepless astuteness which nurture and direct it. It is, for it must be Mary, therefore, Who is destined to crush him--to crush his head, to leave not one of his machinations disentangled and obliterated until all are effaced by Her might. It is Hers to give the world that Wisdom, and Counsel, and strength necessary for its last and most terrible combat. By her Most Pure, Virginal, and Maternal Dignity, by the immensity of Her merit and Her share in the work of Our Redemption, She must end in crushing to atoms the head of that deadly enemy of God and man, who desires to strangle Her Child in the souls of those for whom that Child died upon Calvary. --pages 509
